Caregiver Support and Network aims to promote self-care by providing a platform for caregivers to nurture interests, learn skills, and connect with other caregivers.
Take a moment to slow down and unwind through a guided sound immersion using Tibetan singing bowls and other soothing instruments. Participants will be invited to lie down or rest comfortably while gentle live sounds and vibrations are played throughout the space. The sound immersion lasts approximately 45 minutes.
After the session, participants are warmly invited to stay for a relaxed chat over a cup of hot tea, providing an opportunity to connect, reflect, and ease back into the day.
Caregivers of persons living with dementia
This session is conducted in a secular, non-religious manner. It is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care and is not intended to diagnose or treat any condition. The possible effects of sound immersion vary from person to person, and no specific outcomes are guaranteed. If you have any medical concerns or conditions, please consult a qualified healthcare professional before participating.
This session may be unsuitable for those who:
-Are in the first trimester of pregnancy
-Have epilepsy or seizure disorders
-Have a pacemaker or implanted electronic devices
-Have recently undergone major surgery
-Have severe sound sensitivity or trauma triggered by vibration
-Have acute psychiatric conditions
